Janelle Phillips is a breathwork facilitator, ceremonial bodyworker, and the founder of Bee Well with Janelle and Soul Circle, a women’s healing community rooted in nervous system restoration, ritual, and embodied connection. Her work blends more than two decades of experience in therapeutic massage with breathwork, energy medicine, and the deeply restorative practice of Womb Hara Massage — all designed to help women return to their bodies, their intuition, and their innate wholeness.
Raised in the tiny town of Republic, Ohio, Janelle grew up inside the rhythm of entrepreneurship. Her parents owned a local restaurant, and from a young age she learned the power of showing up, working hard, and building something meaningful from the ground up. That foundation, along with the transformative music community she later found through the Ohio-grown band Ekoostik Hookah and their festival Hookahville, shaped her spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. It’s where she met her husband, lifelong friends, and the inspiration for the community she now leads.
But Janelle’s path to becoming a healer was forged through her own lived experience. After an 11-year fertility journey that included multiple pregnancy losses, surgeries, and profound emotional trauma, she turned to live music as her medicine — until eventually, alcohol became her coping mechanism. Her sobriety, claimed during the pandemic after closing her massage practice, became the catalyst for deep transformation. In the stillness that followed, she discovered the healing power of breathwork and womb work — practices that helped her move grief, soften shame, and remember her purpose.
In 2022, she offered her first breathwork journeys at Hookahville. What began in a festival field soon grew into Soul Circle, a modern-day community for women to breathe, feel, release, and reconnect. Today, Soul Circle meets monthly in Marion and expands globally through a new online membership. It is a space where self-care meets sisterhood, and where healing becomes both personal and collective.
Through Bee Well with Janelle, she supports women across all seasons of life — fertility journeys, postpartum transitions, perimenopause, trauma recovery, and the quiet, sacred moments of remembering oneself. Her sessions are not simply services; they are ceremonies. Each experience holds touch, breath, ritual, and nervous system support to help women shift from survival mode into safety, softness, and self-trust.
Janelle is especially devoted to her work in Womb Healing and Womb Hara Massage, supporting women healing from fertility challenges, miscarriage, hysterectomy, birth trauma, or disconnection from their sensuality. Her own journey allows her to hold space with deep empathy, compassion, and embodied wisdom.
At the heart of everything she creates is community. Janelle is not just building a brand — she is nurturing a movement. One that honors stillness in a world that glorifies overdoing; one that prioritizes wholeness over perfection; one that reminds women they don’t have to heal alone.
Her hope is that every woman who steps into her space — whether online, in ceremony, or on her table — feels what she once felt dancing barefoot under the stars at Hookahville: belonging, freedom, and the remembrance that healing is a homecoming.
